NEW WORDS FROM 2021 (ADULTING)

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone. I hope you are doing well.

Just two more days of lessons for 2021. Today is our penultimate lesson of 2021. And, as you know, we are learning five "new" words/expressions that became popular in 2021.

Today's word is: Adulting

Definition: The action of becoming or acting like an adult. 

Like yesterday's expression, adulting is informal and is used by young people. This is a "verbalization" of the noun, adult. 

Example 1: My roommates and I are adulting during lockdown. We clean the whole house every Saturday.

Example 2: It's so funny to see our son adulting; now that he is living on his own, he shops for food, cooks, cleans and pays the bills.
