Today we, once again, look at expressions related to personal achievement.  

Today's 1st word / phrase is: I set my sights on... 

Meaning: This phrase means to focus on a specific goal or achievement.

Example 1: I set my sights on becoming a manager within five years, and I ended up doing it in three; I'm very proud of myself. 

Today's 2nd word / phrase is: This experience has taught me a lot.

Meaning: This phrase is used to reflect on the learning aspect of an achievement. 

Example 2: This experience has taught me a lot about perseverance. Despite all the setbacks and challenges, I still did it.
