WORDY WEDNESDAY: 'BITTER': meaning and examples
Good morning everyone.
It's the middle of the week...how are you feeling? You might be a little cranky, and ready for the weekend. Or maybe you have to work late, and you want to go home. If this is the case, then you can use today's Wordy Wednesday word: BITTER.
Definition 1: Used to describe when you are angry, hurt, or resentful (usually because of an unfair situation).
Example 1: I didn't get the new job opening and I'm bitter. I think I deserved it.
Example 2: Our flights were cancelled, and I'm missing my friend's birthday party. I hope she's not bitter.
Definition 2: the taste of dark chocolate, strong teas, and coffee.
Example 3: Put some sugar in your coffee and it will taste less bitter.
