Our theme this week is Vocabulary with the word FATHER.

Today we are learning the phrase: NOT YOUR FATHER'S...

Definition: An expression to describe something that is very modern or updated (or something that is no longer what an older generation would expect or be used to).

Example 1: Have you tried this new vegetarian cheeseburger? It's definitely not your father's BBQ food!

Example 2: The new movie theatre has a cocktail bar and comfortable sofas. This isn't your father's movie theatre!

We also use the word "dad" instead of "father."

Example 3: Wow, these pictures are incredible. This isn't your dad's digital camera!
