VALENTINE'S-RELATED VOCABULARY (TO BE SWEET ON SOMEONE)

Since today is Valentine's Day, this week we will look at vocabulary and expressions related to love and romance. 

This week's first Valentines expression is: To be sweet on someone

Definition: to like someone very much; to like someone in a romantic way.

This expression is a bit old-fashioned and informal.

Example 1: Despite being divorced for almost 15 years, he is still sweet on his ex-wife. 

Example 2: She has been sweet on him since they were teenagers, and now they're getting married; the whole story is quite romantic.
