VALENTINE'S-RELATED VOCABULARY (NO LOVE LOST)

Hello everyone. I hope your week is going well.

Since yesterday was Valentine's Day, this week we are looking at vocabulary and expressions related to love and romance.

Today's expression is actually the opposite of love and romance. We use it to speak about two people or groups that do NOT like each other.

Today's expression is: No love lost / little love lost

Definition: If you say that there is no love lost between two people or groups, or there is little love lost between them, you mean that they do not like each other at all.

Example 1: Jack hasn't spoken to his father in decades; there is no love lost between them.

Example 2: They were very polite with each other, but it is clear that there is little love lost between them.
