RUSH-2: meaning and examples

Hello again everyone.

Today we continue our series of Daily Vitamins about expressions with and meanings of the English word RUSH. Today we will look one more meaning of RUSH as a verb.

Meaning 3 of RUSH as a verb: to try to attack or capture someone or something.

Example 1:
A group of prisoners rushed an officer and managed to escape.

Example 2:
Fans rushed the stage after the concert, in an attempt to meet the musicians and get an autograph.
