MORE BAKING VOCABULARY (TO STEEP)

Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. 

As you know, this week we are looking at some more verbs related to BAKING, which is cooking done in an oven.

Today's verb is: TO STEEP

Definition: to cause to stay in a liquid, especially in order to improve flavour. To infuse or impart with flavour.

Sentence 1: In the morning he loves to steep Earl Grey tea bags in milk to impart the flavour.

Sentence 2: At the restaurant last night, we had an excellent meal. I especially liked the pears steeped in red wine for dessert.
