LISTEN EXPRESSIONS-3: meaning and examples
Good morning,
Today we look at one final expression with the verb listen.
Today's expression is: to listen up (spoken English, especially US)
Meaning: used to tell people to listen carefully because you are going to say something important.
Example 1:
Hey everyone. Listen up! Mike has something important he wants to tell us.
Example 2:
I am only going to say this once, so please listen up!
