LET'S FOCUS ON FINDING A SOLUTION
LET'S FOCUS ON FINDING A SOLUTION: meaning and examples
Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin, everyone. I hope you are having a good day.
Today we present you with two more phrases that you can use to disagree with someone. As I have been saying, I like these phrases because they tend to be more polite and less forceful.
Today's 1st phrase is: I think we may be misunderstanding each other.
Meaning / Use: This phrase suggests that confusion or a misunderstanding may be the cause of the disagreement.
Example 1: I think we may be misunderstanding each other. Before continuing the conversation, let’s clarify our points of view.
Today's 2nd phrase is: Let’s focus on finding a solution.
Meaning / Use: When you use this phrase you redirect the conversation from arguing to problem-solving.
Example 2: Instead of debating, let’s focus on finding a solution that works for all of us.
👉 And now I encourage you to write your own sentences with one or both of today's phrases. You can post your sentences on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Bluesky) and we will give you feedback about them ASAP.
Enjoy the rest of your day! We'll be back tomorrow with the last lesson of the week.
