I COMMEND YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone, depending on when you are reading this lesson. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you are having a good week, so far. 

Today we continue our look at phrases and expressions that we can use to give our approval or endorsement of someone or something.  

Today's 1st phrase is: I wholeheartedly endorse this initiative.

Meaning / Use: This phrase conveys strong support for a specific action or program.

Example 1:  The CEO told me that she wholeheartedly endorses this initiative to improve workplace diversity. 

Today's 2nd phrase is: I commend you for your efforts.

Meaning / Use: We use this phrase to acknowledge and praise someone's hard work.

Example 2: I commend you for your efforts in organizing this incredible event. Congratulations!
