FOOT-1: meaning and examples
Good morning everyone.
I hope you had a nice Easter break (if you had one).
Today is a short week, since yesterday (Monday) was a holiday in Barcelona. However, we are going to take advantage of today, tomorrow and Thursday to study three expressions with the word FOOT (plural = FEET).
Today's expression is: (back) on your feet
Meaning: completely well or in a normal state again after an illness or a difficult period.
Example 1:
After her operation she's back on her feet again; she came to work yesterday and she seems to have more energy than ever!
Example 2:
Despite the crisis, the CEO hopes to get the company back on it's feet within 8 months.
If you have any questions or comments, I hope you will share them with all our readers on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ZigguratEscuelaCorporativadeIdiomas.
Have a great day!
