EXPRESSIONS WITH ‘NEW’ (A WHOLE NEW BALLGAME): meaning and examples

Good morning / afternoon / evening everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin

Today is our last lesson of the week, and we're looking at one final expressions with the word NEW in it. 

Today's expression is: A whole new ballgame

Definition: a completely new situation, very different from the one you are used too. This expression comes from the sport baseball. 

Example 1: I used to be a farmer, so working in an office is a whole new ballgame.

Example 2: After divorcing her husband, she finds herself in a whole new ballgame. However, she is doing very well.
