EXPRESSIONS WITH ‘NEW’ (NEW BLOOD)

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a good morning / afternoon / evening (depending on when you are reading this). 

For today's lesson we are looking at another expression with the word NEW in it. 

Today's expression is: New blood

Definition: people with a lot of energy or fresh new ideas who are brought into an organization in order to improve it. 

Example 1: The new blood in the marketing department should improve our chances of increasing sales in 2022.

Example 2: The new coach brought in some new blood, increasing the chances of a change in the team and a possible league title.
