STRIKE IT RICH

Hello again.

Today we continue our look at expressions with the word strike.

Today's expression is: to strike it rich (informal)

Meaning: to get a lot of money suddenly or unexpectedly.

Example 1:
While cleaning some oyesters, he found a giant pearl inside one of them. He struck it rich!

Example 2:
Many people waste time and money playing the lottery, thinking they are going to strike it rich, instead of creating a logical plan to become financially independent.
