VERBS WITH OUT: OUTDRINK : meaning and examples

Welcome back, everyone!

It's Wednesday and it's our third day of our verbs-with-OUT theme.

Today's word is the slang term: TO OUTDRINK.

Definition: To be able to drink more alcohol than another person.

Example 1: In college, he could outdrink everyone. Now, he doesn't drink at all.

Example 2: I don't know how a small girl like Carrie could outdrink a big guy like Colin, but she did.

Needless to say, I hope you're not outdrinking anyone. But this is a verb that can be used when talking about social situations with alcohol.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading!
