WRITE-1
WRITE-1: meaning and examples
I often tell students how important it is to WRITE when learning a second language. Then I realised, there are lots of interesting expressions with the word WRITE, so this week we are going to look at some of them.
Today's expression is: to be written all over someone's face (to speak of feelings)
It means: to be very obvious to other people from the expression on someone's face.
Example 1:
He says that he didn't steal the computer, but he has guilt written all over his face.
Example 2:
I can tell something interesting happened in the meeting. It's written all over your face. Tell me what it is!
