WORDY WEDNESDAY: COLD TURKEY: meaning and examples
Hello everyone, and welcome to the Daily Vitamin's Wordy Wednesday. Today we are looking at an expression we often use when we eliminate a bad habit from our life...when we quit something: COLD TURKEY.
Definition: to quit something and never do it again.
Example 1: I quit smoking... cold turkey.
Example 2: I tried to stop eating sugar cold turkey; but I need some in my coffee.
Often, when people try to quit a habit, they do it slowly. When you do something cold turkey, you stop the action immediately and never do it again.
