WORDY WEDNESDAY: 'BUMMED': meaning and examples

Hello everyone! How is your week going? Are you happy that it is Wednesday, or are you a little sad or upset because the weekend is not for two more days? If you're feeling sad or upset, then perhaps you are BUMMED. This is our word of the day. 

Definition: upset or sad (informal)

Example 1
: My favourite restaurant is closed on my birthday. I'm bummed

Example 2: I am so bummed that I got a bad grade on my final project. 

We can also use it as a phrasal verb. We use the form TO BUM (SOMEONE) OUT

Example 3: That movie was so sad. It bummed me out
