WOMEN EMPOWERMENT-FOCUSED IDIOMS: SAHM (STAY-AT-HOME MOM): meaning and examples

Happy Friday everyone. Today is the last Daily Vitamin lesson of the week.

As you know, since Tuesday was International Women's Day, this week we have been looking at different words and expressions related to female empowerment. Some of these expressions are not necessarily positive, and may represent ideas and beliefs that women have been fighting to change for years.

Today's expression is: SAHM (STAY-AT-HOME MOM)

Definition: a woman who stays home to take care of her children and manage the household.

Example 1: Kathy is such a talented lawyer, and she earns way more than her husband, so I was very surprised that she decided to become a stay-at-home mom.

Example 2: Olga and her husband both worked, and they shared in the raising of their children. So Olga was never a SAHM.

That's it for this week. I hope you found these lessons interesting. If you have any comments, don't hesitate to post something on one of our social media sites (Facebook or Twitter) and we'll react to your comments ASAP.

Enjoy the rest of your day and have an excellent weekend!

All the best!
