Meaning: to travel regularly by bus, train, car (or another means of transport) between your home and your place of work.

Example 1:
She commutes by train every day between Madrid and Ciudad Real.

Commute can also be used as a noun.

Example 2:
During the morning commute, I am able to plan my day carefully.
