THEME THURSDAY: RUBBISH! ('TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE'): meaning and examples

Hello readers and Happy Thursday to you! And happy St. Patrick's Day! For today's lesson, we are continuing our Theme Thursday series about rubbish. We are looking at the phrasal verb TO TAKE OUT (the garbage)

Definition: to remove something (like garbage). 

Example 1: I have to take out the garbage and my sister has to wash the dishes. 

Example 2: I forgot to take out the garbage. I hope we don't have ants when I get home!

Example 3
: He takes the garbage out immediately after dinner.

As you can see, this phrasal verb is SEPARABLE and is TRANSITIVE. This phrasal verb has many meanings; today we just focused on the definition that means TO REMOVE something (like garbage).
