THEME THURSDAY: FAMOUS MOVIE LINES ('GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY')

Hello, readers! For the first part of June we are continuing our Theme Thursday about Famous Movie Lines. Today we are looking at a line which the actor Clint Eastwood says in the movie Sudden Impact. 

Line: GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY.

Eastwood's character says this to a robber. It's his way of saying, "Try me. I would love to kill you. It would make my day." This is a classic "tough guy" character and a classic movie line.

Today, we use it more jokingly when a person tries to do something we don't want them to do. It's a warning that you will be very angry if they complete the action!

Example 1: You're seriously going to eat my last piece of pizza? Go ahead, make my day. 

Example 2: You just try and forget our anniversary. Go ahead, make my day.
