For today's Theme Thursday, we are continuing with our February theme of "as...as" expressions. Today we are looking at the idiom AS COOL AS A CUCUMBER.
Definition: calm
Example 1: I thought I would be nervous during my test, but I was as cool as a cucumber.
Example 2: The athlete looked as cool as a cucumber before the race. I would be very nervous in the same situation.
It is a strange and fun expression to use.
