â THE WORD EVEN (FOR EMPHASIS)

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend.

Are you ready for this week's theme? We are looking at the adverb EVEN. Today we are focusing on using EVEN for emphasis.

We use EVEN to add shock or surprise to a sentence. 

Example 1: She always wears a dress, even in the rain!

Example 2: I forget everything. I even forgot my own birthday. 

Example 3: My mom can cook everything. She can even cook delicious Japanese ramen and beautiful French pastries.
