SPRING-3: meaning and examples

Good morning.

Today we continue our look at some different expressions that use the verb spring in them.

Today's first expression is: to spring to mind

Meaning: to suddenly remember or think of something.

Example 1:
When I hear the brand Volvo, the word "safety" springs to mind.

Today's second expression is: to spring from something

Meaning: to be caused by something; to start from something.

Example 2:
The idea for the advertising campaign sprang from a novel that he recently read.
