SORT-1: meaning and examples

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a nice weekend.

Over the next several days we are going to study the English word SORT, which can be a noun or a verb.

Today's word is: SORT (noun)

Meaning 1
: a group or type of people or things that are similar in a particular way.

Example 1:
Chris: What sort of music do you like?
Rachel: Oh...all sorts.

Example 2:
Don't worry. This sort of problem is quite common; I'm sure we can solve it.

Meaning 2: a particular type of person (informal)

Example 3:
I don't think my husband would ever cheat on me; he's not that sort.
