SLEEVE: meaning and examples

Good morning.

The last couple of Daily Vitamins have got me thinking about clothing. In particular, a word that many people don't necessarily know.

Today's word is
: sleeve

It means
: the part of clothes that covers the arms.

Here are some related clothing words for SLEEVE:
LONG-SLEEVED --> a shirt with long sleeves
SHORT-SLEEVED --> a shirt with short sleeves
SLEEVELESS --> a shirt with no sleeves

Example 1:
I'm quite tall so I sometimes have problems finding shirts and jackets with sleeves that are long enough for me.

Example 2:
The dress code at my workplace is long-sleeved shirts in the winter and short-sleeved shirts in the summer, but never sleeveless shirts.

Remember that tomorrow we present the Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking students of English.

Enjoy your day!
