REPETITION CREATES MASTERY

Hello everyone and welcome to our last lesson of the week.

When learning a language, repetition is important. Many learners avoid repetition because they think it’s boring. But repetition is a sign of mastery in progress.

Think of how children learn their first language: they repeat the same words and phrases hundreds of times before they use them naturally. Adults often expect to remember something after seeing it once or twice. But the brain doesn’t work that way—especially with language.

🧠 Repetition = Retention

Each time you review vocabulary, listen to the same podcast again, or re-read a text, you are strengthening neural connections. 

As Bob Proctor used to say: Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, the architect of accomplishment.

✅ Here are 3 ways to build repetition into your daily routine:
1. Use spaced-repetition tools like Anki or Quizlet to review vocabulary.
2. Rewatch an English video or listen to a podcast several times over a few days.
3. Revisit past Daily Vitamins and challenge yourself to use the expressions again in a sentence.

Don’t aim for variety at the expense of retention. It’s better to truly master 100 words than to barely remember 1,000 words. When you repeat something with attention, you’re not wasting time—you’re investing in fluency.

Don't focus on what you don't understand, notice what you understand better this time. That’s progress, created by repetition.
