PHRASES FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope everyone had an excellent weekend!

This week we are going to look at words and phrases related to diversity and inclusion. Although we don't always agree with someone's lifestyle preferences, as long as they are not hurting anyone, they deserve our respect. Hopefully you will learn and use some of this week's words and phrases. 

Today's 1st phrase is: Cultural Competence

Meaning / Use: This phrase refers to the ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures.

Example 1: The company's training program focuses on developing cultural competence among employees to improve international collaboration. 

Today's 2nd phrase is: We value diversity in our organization.

Meaning / Use: We use this phrase to expresses the importance placed on having varied perspectives and backgrounds in our company or organization.

Example 2: We value diversity in our organization and strive to create an inclusive environment. There's a lot of work to be done, still, but we're happy with our progress. 

👉 Now it's your turn to practice some writing in English. I encourage you to write your own sentences with one or both of today's phrases. As I always say, writing will help you to remember these phrases.
