Happy Friday to you all! I hope your week has gone well.

For today's lesson, we are looking at the phrasal verb TO STAND SOMEONE UP

Definition: to fail to go to a meeting that you planned.

Example 1: The man waited for an hour at the restaurant before leaving. I think someone stood him up

Example 2: I was stood up once before. It was terrible!

Note that this phrasal verb can be SEPARATED. It can also be TRANSITIVE, like in Example 1, or INTRANSITIVE, like in Example 2.

If the object is a pronoun, then it must be used with the SEPARABLE version of the phrasal verb.
