PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: 'LOOK UP' (REGARDING A SITUATION): meaning and examples

Happy Friday to all of you, readers! We are ending this week's lessons with Phrasal Verb Friday and one definition of the term TO LOOK UP

Definition: (regarding a situation) to improve.

Example 1: Sales were low last month, but things are looking up in April.

Example 2: Last year he was jobless and living with two roommates. Now he has a new job and has bought a house... things are definitely looking up for him!

Example 3: My son's marks in school have greatly improved and now he's excited to go to school each morning. His educational future is looking up

This phrasal verb is INTRANSITIVE
