PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: JUMP IN: meaning and examples

Good morning, readers!

Today we are finishing our week with a Phrasal Verb Friday about the expression TO JUMP IN.

Definition: to enter a conversation abruptly.

Example 1: If you have anything to add during the meeting, please just jump in with your comments.

Example 2: Excuse me for jumping in, but I just wanted to clarify something that was said.

Example 3: He jumped in the conversation and just started giving his opinion, and no one had asked for it!

This phrasal verb is INTRANSITIVE.
