NUMBER EXPRESSIONS-4: meaning and examples
Good morning once again everyone.
Today we present one final expression with a number, this time with the number four.
Today's expression is: These four walls
Meaning: Used when you are talking about keeping a secret.
Example 1:
Please don't let this go further than these four walls.
In example 1 the speaker is saying "don't tell anyone else who is not in the room now."
Example 2:
Then it's final; our decision is to accept the offer and sell the company to the Chinese investors. Remember, until this deal has been confirmed this should not be spoken about outside these four walls!
