MISSING MONDAY: PIECE / SHEET OF PAPER: meaning and examples

Hello everyone, and happy Monday! I hope that your weekend went well.

For today's Missing Monday Daily Vitamin, we are looking at a vocabulary question. Can you complete the sentence below?

Sentence 1
: Can you hand me three _____________ of paper?

There are actually two correct forms of this sentence. For individual papers, we say SHEETS or PIECES

Sentence 1(a)
: Can you hand me three SHEETS of paper?

Sentence 1(b)
:

We also use the word PAGE(S) with paper, but this is when the pages are in a book, magazine, or newspaper.

Example 1
: I read 50 pages of my book last night.

Example 2
: The article is on page 10.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading, and we'll see you tomorrow for Tense Tuesday.

Have a great day!
