Last Thursday we reviewed the expression BLACK MARKET, as part of our review of expressions in English with colours. This week I thought we'd spend some time on expressions with the word MARKET.

Meaning: to be interested in buying something.
Example 1:
I'm in the market for a new car right now; do you have any suggestions?
Example 2:
As lovely as it is, we're really not in the market for a five-bedroom house. Can you show us something smaller?
