INSEPARABLE PHRASAL VERBS (CALL ON)

Our theme for the week is Inseparable Phrasal Verbs. Today's phrasal verb is: TO CALL ON (SOMEONE). 

Definition 1: To ask someone to do something. 

Example 1: The teacher called on Brian to read his essay in front of the class.

Example 2: The organization called on its donors to help raise money for their cause. 

Definition 2: To visit someone. 

Example 3: I call on my neighbour at least once a week.
