IDIOMS WITH 'SHORT': TO BE IN SHORT SUPPLY

Today is the first day of February, which is the shortest month of the year. In honour of this month, we are beginning February's lessons with a fun theme: Idioms with the word "Short."

We are starting off with the phrase: TO BE IN SHORT SUPPLY

Definition: Only available in small amounts.

Example 1: We all remember when toilet paper was in short supply during the beginning of the pandemic. 

Example 2: Sometimes it seems like kind people are in short supply. 

Example 3: I wanted to make a pistachio cake, but it appears that pistachios are in short supply because we had a poor harvest last year.
