This week's theme is Expressions with the word SAND in them. Today we are learning the expression TO HIDE/BURY ONE'S HEAD IN THE SAND.
Definition: To avoid a situation by pretending it does not exist.
Example 1: You need to go to the doctor. You're clearly sick! You can't just hide your head in the sand.
Example 2: Whenever there is a conflict in our family, my brother just buries his head in the sand. It drives me crazy.
