EXPRESSIONS WITH POP-3: meaning and examples
Good morning.
So far this week we have seen two POP phrasal verbs:
-TO POP IN(TO)
-TO POP OUT
Today we are going to look at two new POP phrasal verbs, which have the same meaning: TO POP ROUND or TO POP BY
Meaning: to visit someone for a short time
Example 1:
Sarah: Why don't you pop round for a coffee on your way home from work?
Mary: Great! I will be there at 7:00 PM. See you later.
Example 2:
I haven't seen my sister in a couple of weeks. I'm going to pop by for an appetizer this weekend and hear the latest gossip.
