DRIVING VOCABULARY (FENDER BENDER): meaning and examples

Today we are learning the term FENDER BENDER.
Definition: A minor car accident. (A fender is the piece that goes around the front and the back of the car; it’s typically what is damaged when a car hits another car from behind.)
Example 1: His mom was in an accident. It was nothing serious, thankfully: just a fender bender.
Example 2: There was a lot of traffic today because of an accident. It was only a fender bender, but it caused a lot of delays.
Example 3: I was late for work because I got in a fender bender.
