CHRISTMAS VOCABULARY: GOODWILL

Hi, everyone! Today is day two of our Christmas vocabulary lessons. Today we are looking at the word GOODWILL.

Definition: friendly, helpful feelings towards another person.

Example 1: Peace on earth, goodwill toward men.

(During Christmas, this is a common expression. Although not very politically correct, "men" refers to humans in general, not just men.)

Example 2: To stay open, the museum relies on the goodwill of donors.
