We are starting with the idiom: CHRISTMAS IS CANCELLED.
Definition: A joking expression about not celebrating the holidays because of someone’s actions or bad attitude.
Example 1: They don't have any eggs at the store so I can't make cookies. Christmas is cancelled!
Example 2: First I had to work late, and then the packages I ordered did not arrive. That's it... Christmas is cancelled!
