Today we are continuing this week's theme: Business Jargon.

Today's expression is: CLIMB THE LADDER

Definition: To get promoted and move up in one's profession or company. 

Example 1: He started as a janitor at our company and climbed the ladder all the way to the top! Now he's on the Board of Directors. 

Example 2: I'll work as a part of a team for about a year. After that, I can climb the ladder a little and then work on my own.
