'APROVECHAR' IN ENGLISH

Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. Today is our last lesson of the week.

The Spanish verb aprovechar can be translated into English in different ways, but perhaps the most common are:

(1) to take advantage of
(2) to take the opportunity to (do something)

Following are two sample sentences with these expressions:

Sentence 1:
I'd like to take advantage of this moment to remind you that we have to finish this project by September 2023.

Sentence 2:
I'd like to take the opportunity to remind you that we have to finish this project by September 2023.
