A BLESSING IN DISGUISE

Hello everyone. Happy Friday and welcome back to the Daily Vitamin. I hope you have had a great week, and I hope you are having a good day.

Today we look at two final idiomatic expressions. Hopefully you will not only learn these expressions, but also use them in your daily English.

Today's 1st expression is: under the weather

Meaning: this expression means to feel ill or unwell. 

Example 1: My wife is feeling a little under the weather, so she is going to stay home; she will not join us at the party.

Today's 2nd expression is: a blessing in disguise

Meaning: we us this to describe something that seems bad a first, but that ends up being something good.

Example 2: Although it was stressful at the time, losing that job was a blessing in disguise because it pushed me to pursue my dream career; I'm happier than ever.
