HALLOWEEN VOCABULARY (SUPERSTITION): meaning and examples

Welcome back to our week of Halloween Vocabulary for the Daily Vitamin. We are looking at words related to Halloween; today we are learning SUPERSTITION

Definition: A belief that something is caused by a supernatural force.

Example 1: Some people think that black cats are bad luck; that's just a silly superstition

Example 2: Is Friday the 13th a day on which bad things happen? My friend thinks so; I think it's superstition

Example 3: One strange superstition is that you will have bad luck if you open an umbrella inside.
