WORDY WEDNESDAY: YEARNING

Are you ready for a Wordy Wednesday lesson? Today we are looking at the word YEARNING. 

Definition: a feeling of intense longing (wanting) for something.

Example 1: I've been yearning for summer weather. I'm so glad it's finally here. 

Example 2: He feels a yearning for nature when he's in the city for too long. 

Example 3: I can't explain this strange yearning. I think I'm homesick. 

We use YEARNING FOR when we talk about what we are yearning for.
