PHRASAL VERB FRIDAY: 'DRESS UP AS': meaning and examples
Happy Friday, everyone!
As you probably know, this weekend is Halloween. For this reason, today is the perfect day to look at the phrasal verb TO DRESS UP (AS SOMETHING/SOMEONE).
Definition 1: to wear a costume; to dress like a person or thing.
Example 1: Last year, I dressed up as Madonna.
Example 2: What are you dressing up as for Halloween?
Example 3: I want to dress up as a bag of candy, but I don't know how to make the costume.
