EXPRESSIONS WITH SALT-4: meaning and examples

Good morning again everyone.

Today we conclude our series of Daily Vitamins about expressions with the word SALT.

Today's expression is: worth one's salt

It means: someone who is efficient and capable and who deserves respect.

Example 1:
The new CEO is not worth her salt. When is the board of directors going to get rid of her?

Example 2:
Janet. We have decided that you are worth your salt and we would like you to stay in the company as our assistant marketing director. Will you accept?

Remember that tomorrow we present the Essential Weekly Vitamin for Spanish-speaking students of English.

Until then, have a great day!
